Haas was founded in 2018 by Jonathan Haas after nearly two decades as a classroom teacher and educator. What began as a technical writing practice focused on clear documentation and standard operating procedures quickly grew as clients asked for more.
Organizations needed help turning their processes into effective training. Schools and employers needed practical workforce development materials for students and adult learners. And as the work expanded, clients also began asking for affordable, high-quality marketing support that matched the same standard of clarity and usefulness.
In 2025, in response to that consistent demand, Haas formally expanded its marketing services while continuing to strengthen its curriculum and documentation work. Today the company operates across three connected areas—Writing, Curriculum, and Marketing—guided by the same practical approach that started it all.
The team brings more than 50 years of combined education experience. As former educators, we understand both the realities of the classroom and the demands of the workplace. That background allows us to bridge the gap between K-12 education, post-secondary pathways, and the workforce in a way that is grounded and useful.
We have collaborated with organizations including the Colorado Education Initiative, Greeley-Evans School District, EduHero, eDynamic Learning, and Emergent Campus. Our unique mix of offerings works because our team is passionate about the areas we serve. Our versatility allows us to remain industry-agnostic and serve everyone from rural startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Jonathan is the founder and owner of Haas Technical Writing, a Canon City, Colorado-based firm dedicated to delivering clear, user-focused technical documentation and training solutions.
With over two decades of experience as an educator and business owner, Jonathan brings a unique blend of instructional expertise and operational insight to his work. His passion lies in partnering with companies to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that streamline operations, enhance performance, and drive growth. These SOPs are then transformed into meaningful, structured training programs for new employees and interns, fostering skill development and supporting the next generation of the workforce.
Jonathan’s client-centric approach has empowered rural businesses, from manufacturing to healthcare, to build efficient processes and robust talent pipelines. Audrey is a seasoned marketer who has helped small businesses and startups bring their stories to life. You can find her walking with her dog Reggie, strumming her guitar, or meditating on the side of a mountain.

Alexis "Lexi" Linback
Senior Curriculum Writer
Alexis "Lexi" Linback is a skilled writer and educator with a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Humanities education from the University of Colorado Boulder and a B.S. in Secondary English Education from Indiana University Bloomington.
As a Curriculum Writer since January 2024, she creates engaging educational content, drawing on her expertise in English writing and curriculum design. As an educator, she has developed innovative curricula and facilitated a diverse range of academic programs. Her experience in K-12 education enables her to contribute to our internship development curriculum, bridging the gap between business and education.
Lexi supports our team by writing technical content, blog posts, and providing editing expertise. Outside of work, she is an avid runner, bicycle enthusiast, and a devoted cat mum.
Lexi joined the Haas team in 2025.
